I was like you once... Often a little too lazy to get out of bed to blow a piss, old milky cereal bowls... so yeah, I know exactly what you're thinking... you're thinking, how could Hayaino Daisuki, arguably the most influential power-thrash outfit (in japan), outdo what they already pulled off on their debut EP, Headbanger's Karaoke Club Dangerous Fire? But they did... let me break it down.

OK so, Hayaino Daisuki has always been the tightest and the fastest band out there, right? Hayaino's new record, other wise known as The Invincible Gate Mind of the Infernal Fire Hell, or Did You Mean Hawaii Daisuki? maintains the aforementioned titles while gaining them another... After this record hits the shelves, people like you and me are going to have to start referring to Hayaino Daisuki as the fastest, tightest and most melodic metal band ever! And dude, if you're into aggressive music you've come to the right place... listening to this band, and in particular the record in question, is like crossing streams with a fire hose... You know... Obviously you run the risk of injury, but you're stoned and growing up in the suburbs...

Hayaino Daisuki’s approach to frantic grind is far more sugar high than blood thirsty. This isn’t to say that this 4-song EP is pop-chart ready and already up for hip-hop remixes, for there is plenty of metal up your ass from a band who’s name translates to simply, “I Love Speed”. They do indeed. Here to provide you inhuman speed levels are Takafumi Matsubara (Mortalized) on the ax, Eric Schnee on the drums, and screaming all over the surprisingly catchy madness is none other than speed and all things Sci-Fi obsessive Jon Chang of Discordance Axis fame.

So if you have been keeping up with the upcoming releases we here at Hydra Head are about to plant into your ears in ’08, Hayaino Daisuki’s “Headbanger’s Karaoke Club Dangerous Fire” is the second Jon Chang affiliated project to write a blog about along with the upcoming Gridlink release.
